How Is Yoga Beneficial To My Child?

The first question that a non-practising parent might ask is, “What is Yoga?”Yoga is one of the oldest practises that teaches you how to understand yourself and your universe (environment), how to connect to yourself and your universe, how to heal yourself and your universe, how to evolve within yourself and your universe, how to balance yourself and your universe and how to control yourself and your universe all through love, nurturing, kindness, understanding and compassion.  The latter is but an overview of the fundamental points of yoga, although as one begins to practise, each practitioner in turn will discover many more elements, benefits and attributes of yoga that would reflect in ones daily life, which would succeed to uplift, motivate and bring further awareness to better oneself in most areas of ones life, to bring forth their highest potential.Yoga is essentially a spiritual practise but one that had been adopted across the globe into almost every culture and way of life, which over thousands of years had become imbedded in a multitude of cultures that today the natives of each culture are unaware that their way of life has roots in the philosophy of yoga.

The widespread of yogic lifestyle and philosophy is now causing a worldwide awakening and the acceptance of its philosophies alongside the worldwide embracing of yoga serves only to support that yoga is in the heart of every human being because it is a practise that resonate true in its preaching.

Yoga is not simply a blind faith that perhaps it is true or perhaps it is not, asking its practitioner to take a leap of faith and wait for the hereafter for results.  Yoga will produce results from the day you being to practise and if you continue to practise it will produce even better results and allow the practitioner to reach deeper and literally taste, smell, touch, hear and see the relative truth through experience and through daily life.

The best gift you can ever give yourself or your child is Yoga and if you do not, then explore the children who grew up as practitioners of yoga and what they had become and achieved as a result of their practise.

The benefits To Your Child:

The Physical Body – will be agile, healthy, flexible, all organs will function to a higher healthier capacity, organs will grow strong, resilient with more output, body will be relaxed, calm and stress free, no growing pains, less or no trips to the doctor for yoga aids in self healing, stronger and more flexible joints and muscles, strong healthy bones, no tension and a balanced body.

The Emotional Body – is active through breathing (breath body), learn how to breath properly, allowing all organs and every atom in the body to breath, stable, calm and balanced emotions and emotional reactions to any given situation, controlled emotional body, highly active intuition, high consciousness of self, others and environment, high empathy with others and environment (universe), increases awareness and compassion, awakening ones emotional body to teach self empowerment, self discipline and manipulation of inner power, a profound understanding in the emotional experiences of others and universe.  Most importantly a carefree, easy going and unaffected manner that is open and easy to connect to and befriend.

Mental Body (ego personality) – is for most people the most active of all layers in the human being and in Yoga this area will be the most beneficial, a substantial increase in creativity, intelligence, self awareness, focus, self discipline, determination/tenacity, problem solving, visual analyses (abstract, intuitive or conceptual), imagination to manifestation, intent, commitment, memory and storing of memory, the judgement, evaluation and reasoning (analyses) of any given social or environmental circumstance or situation, hyper alertness, decision making, comprehension of intensely complex social, scientific and environmental situations or circumstances, balance of self image and character internally to externally, an awakened sense of purpose and drive.  But most importantly due to the fact that the child will practise yoga from as earlier an age as possible, this increase does not stop if the practise of yoga does not stop, it grows with the growth of the child, further expanding brain activity with emotional activity and increased physical strength and stamina –will ensure that your child will surpass anything humanly imagined possible of these area to grow and expand into, sending your child to a new level of consciousness, awareness and being that would accredit them with the possible title of “child prodigy” in their own chosen area of expertise.

Please note that for this to occur as stated the child must practise yoga on daily basis and be engaged and involved in the practise with dedicated intention and not forced into practise.

Spiritual Body (higher self/soul) – for some parents this can be a sore subject, a taboo subject, something not believed in or something absolutely believed in.  Whatever the belief system that a parent wish to incorporate into the mental awareness of a child –I believe every human being must believe that there is such a thing as a creative force that evolved into its present state, whatever each human being or culture may wish to call it, some like to call it mother nature and others may call it God, both donate the presence of a force that created our present reality no matter what one may wish to call it.

In yogic philosophy every human being must be open to all possibilities as a witness to experience every possibility without restricting oneself on any level to better absorb and analyse new information appropriately in order to evolve.

The spiritual body is that, that looks beyond itself for the connection to everything and all, it gives the human being a sense of deep connection in self awareness, self control, self esteem, self confidence, self purpose and self worth.  It is knowingness, a deep and profound knowingness of its purpose and its role as the character that it wishes to be and evolve into our society at large.  It grounds our mental, emotional and physical bodies into the reality, it defines them, it has the absolute control of its own evolution and it is connected to the force that encompasses the entire cosmos, for the cosmos and it are the one and the same energy.

The higher self is all knowing and the connection to the higher self through yoga would allow the practitioner a balanced, healthy and fulfilling existence that surpasses the gratification of any material reality –for this deep and profound connection will allow the practitioner to follow through their destined path without ever feeling lost or confused about which direction their life might be heading and why.  This is the ultimate gift for any human being, if the parent gave their child the most important tool to self-discovery, development, growth and mental evolution that is constant and far reaching, what more could anybody ask for?  After all who wouldn’t want to know who they are intimately and without reservation, where they are going and how to get there without doubt or confusion –if we all had that in our youth, where would we be today?

Am I An Awakened Parent?

To be an awakened parent is to be a type of parent who is constantly updating and keeping themselves informed about their role as a parent,  how can one improve on their role?  How can one understand it better or execute it better?

Apart from the first thought that pops to mind being more inline with, “Whose got the time to think, yet alone read to remind yourself why it is better not to think in the first place!”
Followed by, “Because my role as a parent right now is a breeze, so I think if we add awakened to my full plate, it will definitely make me scream less!!”
I guess in an idealistic society the role of parenting can always be questioned, in order for the role to constantly evolve with it the evolution of race and humanity.  However, most of us do not live in an ideal society, so perhaps to build a community of parents who can share their time, experience and knowledge to awaken each other might create an ideal environment for us to easily fulfil our role for us and our children.

I decided to walk this path of experience as an awakened parent before  I even decide to become a paren, due to the fact that I always saw that role as the only role I needed to get right.  I realised from an early age that parenting is an enormous responsibility that requires immense knowledge and experience of the world at large.  As such researching the role and understanding what it would entail to be the best parent possible allowed for me to awaken myself to that role, my duty as a guide to a new soul and my obligation as a provider, nurturer and protector of that new soul.

It all sounds fabulous darling, such idealism sound fabulous on paper, but what if we start questioning our experience and knowledge as parents, what would that make us, bad parents because we were not awakened?  And how can any parent with the daily demands of life add further to that load to include research and changing ones lifestyle to live a more ‘Awakened’ life!

Amazingly to be an awakened parent nowadays would mean you have to afford it, not so much with finance but with time and patience, two things our modern society robs from us.  Also how can anyone know what makes a good parent, there is no manual that would outline the attributes of a good parent, the task before you that even when one experience it firsthand is practically impossible to fathom.

That is why the best course of action is to arm yourself with experience of life, which age and wisdom would play a great part in achieving and prepare yourself with as much knowledge as possible starting from child psychology, social behaviour and environmental influence on an impressionable child and how it would impact its character, food and eating habits and the health consequence of fast and processed food, the effects of exposure to polluted information and how it would effect the psyche of your child, the effects of advertising and subliminal messages that control and affect the behaviour of your child on a subconscious level.  Then go back to environment again and always remember that after a certain age your child will be 70% of its waking time in an environment that you cannot see, cannot control and do not know what dangers your child might be exposed to subtly or directly.  After all no matter how great and expensive a school might be a teacher only has one pair of eyes over at least two dozen children.

But you might wonder what danger can a child be exposed to when they are in class at a good school.

My personal opinion based on my life experience, I found that the danger might be more in the exposure to other children whose parents have exposed them to polluted information and circumstances that had damaged them and as such they would bring that damage and expose your children to it.

To be a parent today is not like being a parent one hundred years ago, for life was simpler then, it was easy going, people looked out for one another, there was social integrity, honour and morals –technology was at its infancy –but today with the world in your back pocket through internet, your child can be exposed to information and dangers you might never even had imagined existed, yet alone now existing in your child’s psyche!

It is infinitely harder to be a good parent today then back then, it is damn near impossible to be an awakened parent and trying to find like minded parents that could help you create the safe environment for all your children to grow together.  Nonetheless it is still part of our role and duty as parents to gather knowledge and become aware of all the possible dangers that our children might be exposed to directly and indirectly, so we may know how to protect them and nurture them into adulthood, at which time they will take over their own lives to lead.  It is only then and at that point you can relax for the hard part of your role is now done, and done well.

There is extensive information out there in all areas of knowledge as mentioned above, but one must sift through and analyse a variety of information, not only is knowledge power, but knowledge will also aid parents to learn how to understand and communicate with their children by learning how to respond to their child’s growth through any given process.

I Cannot Lose Weight No Matter What I Do?

The social norms of modern societies today appear to be becoming more and more beauty and health conscious, with weight being the focal point of both health and beauty, needless to say for both are linked.A healthy body is a beautiful body, not only in shape, form and appearance, but a healthy body radiates energy, confidence and youth for those are the elements that would render it attractive.All media outlets advertise countless diets, fitness programs and lifestyle ideas promising a beautiful healthy body targeting to entice and attract you as a new customer, and most with hard work will eventually help you reach your goal.  However, some of us might go through many diets, intense fitness programs and spend time, energy and money with little or no satisfactory results, as you begin to feel hopeless for no matter what you do, you simply cannot shed all the weight you desire.  As a result for most of us we begin to feel emotionally and mentally drained in the process as losing weight slowly takes over our entire life, meanwhile slowly depression starts to surface.The real issue is that when dealing with reforming the physical body, most diets will work for a while until the body becomes accustomed to the regime and it would thereafter no longer work.  A fitness program might consume your life in constant struggle to stay in shape and as a result would cause an imbalance in other parts of your daily life.   While lifestyles ideas will need a constant input and the right information in order to ensure that a balance is reached across the board to gain and keep a healthy lifestyle.

If a person is unable to reach the end result of a goal they had set for themselves, and they do not suffer any biochemical deficiency in their physical body that would hinder their progress, then the issue might arise from the mental body or the emotional body that is causing a blockage in the progress of the fitness program.  Please remember that a healthy body also means a healthy mind (healthy attitude and strong discipline) and healthy emotions, for all three must be worked on at the same time to reach a desired goal of a healthy beautiful body.

For those who are able to reach desired results from their diets, fitness programs or chosen lifestyle, it is because their mental and/or emotional bodies already work in unison with their physical body and perhaps for some unaware that the body does or can.  In such cases ones mental and/or emotional body can be hyper active and can motivate itself into specific action, while keeping it focused, determined and disciplined until the end and beyond.

A Treatment Guaranteed To Reduce Stress And Address Insomnia

Increasingly over the years I keep meeting more and more people who suffer from deep uncontrollable anxieties and insomnia, with myself being one of those people, I was able to deeply empathise.I suffered from insomnia for 7 whole years that when the joyous day arrived and I slept for 5 whole hours, I literally thought I died and gone to heaven.
